As Mary Oliver reminds us,
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
Love what it loves.
How do we actually begin to let our bodies, our Selves, love what we love, feel how we feel and want what we want?
It begins with reconnection–to our senses, to our bodies, to our Core.
We have the opportunity to offer the parts of ourselves that have been shamed, shushed, or told to calm down something different.
We can begin to give our Wild Selves permission to stretch out a limb. To unfurl a Claw. To feel the ground beneath.
