Forest therapy in Athens, GA AND ONLINE
What is Forest Therapy?
Forest Therapy, also known as Forest Bathing, can help you to find more balance and a deeper sense of belonging.
The fast-paced modern world can often leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and those around us, caught in a cycle of rushing, pushing through, and eventually shutting down.
Forest Therapy offers another way. The trees, the birds, the fallen leaves, and even the tiniest frog remind us that there is beauty, there is enough time, and we are part of something bigger—if only we can stop to notice.
Slow down. Reconnect. Find balance.

My group Forest Therapy, also known as Forest Bathing, walks usually last around 3 hours. This is a gentle walk where I guide you through a series of invitations designed to help you slow down, awaken your senses, and connect more deeply with yourself, the other people on the walk, and the natural world.
You don’t need to be an experienced hiker. The focus is on slowing down and noticing, rather than covering a certain distance or reaching a destination.

A private Forest Therapy walk can be a great fit for a family reunion or other family gathering, a birthday celebration, or a way to support you in moving through grief or loss.
If you’re looking for a different kind of gathering or have something else in mind, let’s chat about what you’re looking for.

A group Forest Therapy walk with me lasts around 3 hours and unfolds at a gentle pace. Along the way, I’ll offer 3–5 invitations designed to help you slow down and awaken your senses.
Some invitations may be quiet and slow; others may be playful, depending on the season and the group. After each invitation, we’ll come together for a sharing time.
Sharing is always optional. You’re invited to share in any language or to pass if you don’t want to share.
We end each walk by taking tea together, as a way of inviting us all into deeper reciprocity with the Land.

Be sure to dress comfortably for the weather conditions, and bring a water bottle and any snacks you’ll need over the 3 hours. You’re also welcome to bring a journal and pen if you’d like.
I’ll provide a sit-upon (small cushion) for each participant to make sitting on the ground drier and more comfortable.

Both Forest Therapy and Somatic Coaching offer opportunities to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore new ways of being. The difference is in where the experience is centered and what you’re coming to explore.
Forest Therapy is usually done outside. If you choose to join me for a group walk, you’ll be invited to interact with me, the other participants, and the natural world. The experience will be shaped by the group as a whole. I’ll be there to hold space for the group and for individuals, particularly during Sharing Circles.
Somatic Coaching with me is 1-on-1. Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually held indoors or online, although I’m open to exploring an outdoor setting if that’s something you’d like. Our time together will be more individualized to what you need. I’ll offer different Chi for Two® moves based on where you’re feeling stuck or what’s coming up for you, and I’ll be there with you, holding space for it all.
